WHO WE ARE

What began as a home kitchen and a dream in 2017 has become one of South Florida’s most beloved Haitian restaurants. Chef Wilton Antione started cooking and selling meals from home, driven by a passion that began back in Haiti at just six years old. As word spread and fans kept asking for more, one thing became clear: it was time to open a real restaurant. 

That vision came to life when he met Nathalie, his business partner, and fellow culinary visionary. With her background in restaurant operations and his training from a culinary school in the U.S., they shared a common goal: to bring authentic, soulful Haitian food to the community.

Together, they opened their first Pearl of the Island location in Margate, Florida. They didn’t just want to cook, they wanted to create a true taste of home. Today, they import key ingredients like Djon Djon and Lalo directly from Haiti to preserve the rich, bold flavors that define their menu.

Pearl of the Island is more than a restaurant, it’s a celebration of culture, legacy, and love served on every plate. There are now multiple Pearl of the Island Restaurants throughout South Florida.
